Large bifacially worked stone implement exhibiting extensive flake removals on both faces and an ovate to lanceolate outline. The artifact represents an intermediate-stage preform used in the manufacture of large cutting tools or projectile points. The piece retains substantial thickness and lacks final edge refinement, indicating it was not completed into a finished tool. Historic label indicates recovery from Indian Hill, Jackson County, Illinois.
