Bee a Friend to Pollinators

June 22, 2024 @ 11:00 am - 12:00 pm

  • This event has passed.

In association with the Marion Natural History Museum, the Plumb Memorial Library is hosting a summer program to help us learn more about pollinators! Did you know that about 35 percent of the world’s food supply depends on pollinators to reproduce? That’s about one in every 3 bites of food that you eat. These pollinators need our help! Like all animals, bees and butterflies need food, water, and shelter to survive! Come learn about how you can help these amazing insects by making a pollinator sanctuary. Build a bee hotel and an insect watering station and plant your own pollinator-friendly seedlings.

This program is for ages 7 and up.  Registration is required and is limited to 20 children. This program will be held outside, weather permitting.  (We will move inside if the weather is poor.)

This program is free thanks to the Marion Museum of Natural History.
