Bears in our woods!

On Friday, December 8, 6:30 – 7:30 we will welcome Steven Wright and Jason Zimmer, wildlife biologists with the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries and Wildlife, who will be giving a presentation on Black Bears in Massachusetts.

Black bears are found throughout much of state including southeastern Massachusetts. Let’s learn what to do if you see a bear and what steps to take to protect your home and property. We’ll hear what to do if you encounter a black bear and why they’re here.

Let’s learn about our bear population so that we can be respectful toward our wild neighbors. We may need to learn to change our behavior, because bears aren’t going to change theirs.
