Rescheduled Dragonfly and Damselfly Walk

July 2 @ 10:30 am - 11:30 am

  • This event has passed.

Plymouth County Entomologist Blake Dinius will be guiding us on a search for dragonflies. Swooping, soaring and perching dragonflies including damselflies are some of the top tier predators of the insect world. Often referred to as “rainbows on the wing” dragonflies and damsel flies come in a variety of patterns, shapes and colors. We will be exploring the identification and ecology of these fascinating creatures that have existed on earth for an estimated 250 million years. No experience necessary. This will be a slower-paced walk aimed at introducing people to the world of dragonfly observation.

DUE TO THE HEAT THIS WALK HAS BEEN RELOCATED TO WASHBURN PARK.
