  • This event has passed.

Presented by Brian Butler of Oxbow Associates

Why are these animals called “box” turtles? What do they eat and what do they need to survive? And why are they endangered? Let’s learn a little something about our local turtle population and how we can protect them. Brian will be bringing many hands-on items to explore as well as a radio telemetry demonstration, turtle traps and other scientific equipment used to help locate and protect these animals. Due to COVID this program is limited to 8 students. Masks and social distancing will be required.

Registrations for this program are limited to paper forms and personal checks. Please download the registration form and submit your payment in person at the museum, or send it via mail to PO Box 644, Marion, MA 02738.
