Wildlife in our young forests

April 8 @ 3:30 pm - 4:30 pm

  • This event has passed.

We’ll be investigating some of the wildlife you may see in a “young” forest with presenter Marianne Piché, Habitat Biologist with the Massachusetts Division of Fisheries & Wildlife.

Young forests provide abundant food and cover for our local woodland mammals, reptiles, amphibians, and birds.

Weather provided we’ll be walking to Holmes Woods, which is a typical example of a young forest as it restores itself after storm and timber harvesting activities.

Please remember to wear appropriate outdoor clothing and shoes for this program. To register please go to www.marionmuseum.org.
